Alex Monteiro's path to become the President and Founder of Studio-X has been a long and winding road. Alex has had the good fortune to collaborate with many of North America's leading creative organizations in industries as diverse as filmmaking to banking.
Alex's early career began in Boston, while enrolled at The Boston Architectural School, as head of the 3D department of a 120-person architectural firm. In this role Alex was responsible for the department's high end 3D projects. Working with the architects and designers to implement their schematic design ideas into 3D form, as well as integrating the high end design work into their client budgets were just some of his achievements.
Then, in 1995 he decided that he wanted a greater challenge and launched his freelance career specializing in the Architectural field where he honed not only his creative and technical skills, but also his client service skills. Thus began a new creative journey which is still in process.
In 1999, Alex was awarded the prestigious honor of becoming one of only 16 elite Discreet Training Specialists (DTS) worldwide who are certified to represent the world renowned Discreet Software Corporation ? THE world leader in 3D software development. This certification allowed Alex to broaden his expertise to include many other industries in addition to the Architectural field.
In 2001, Alex co-authored Mastering 3D Studio Max marking a new turning point in his career.
That same year, Alex moved to Connecticut where he opened his own virtual 3D studio which has now evolved into Studio-X where Alex oversees all aspects of the studio, manages his talented virtual staff to ensure Studio-X's clients get a unique creative experience they cannot get anywhere else.
